- Gyotaku is a Japanese fish printing art created in the early 1800's using rice paper and natural berry inks to preserve exact sizes of prized catches. The rubbings were used to prove these records as this was pre photography times in that area. People would compete with each other and needed some way to record the fish as well as honoring the fish itself. The first printing was done with only one color just to prove size and species but at some point evolved to more colors to bring out a more artful rendition of the subject. This art form reproduces the exact features and characteristics of the fish.

Pay the extra money to buy it and not rent it.
Format: Paperback
You need this book. I took theories my first semester and I rented the book and I regretted it ever since. I found myself wanted to have the theories, they're founders, their interventions, skills and strategies at my finger tips for the rest of my academic career. Finally in my last semester I had the money you make the purchase and I don't regret it. It also helps me with studying for the CPCE.

An asset
This book, written by one of the top authorities on the subject, truly met my expectations. It elaborates the assumptions and methods underlining the strategic approach. It does so with clear case samples, methodical explanations, and commenting. An asset to any family counselor and therapist who want to know more about this intricate and sophisticated method of therapy.
