DISCLAIMER: The Doohickeys are not dating. They're just friends. The Doohickeys consists of singing and writing duo Haley Spence Brown & Jack Hackett.

Haley grew up in Liberty, Missouri, helping train horses and spending time on her grandpa's cattle farm. Jack grew up in a strict Japanese-American household in Atlanta, Georgia where you had to take your shoes off at the door (everything else was pretty lax).

Although they have country roots, the duo met at USC (FIGHT ON!) while working on the college TV station's satirical news show. On one fateful evening, Jack was hosting a legendary week-after-Halloween party when Haley heard the sounds of Kenny Chesney echoing through the spookily decorated halls.

Right then, they discovered their mutual love of country music. The next day, instead of sitting down to write a sketch, they wrote the song I Wish My Truck Was Bigger. The pair is now gearing up to release their first record All Hat No Cattle produced by two-time Grammy® nominee, Eric Corne.

Their music video for "Rein It In Cowboy" won The American Songwriter music video contest, and their song "All Hat, No Cattle" was honorably mentioned in the May/June edition of the magazine. Their song "This Town Sucks" earned an award for Outstanding Songwriting in the 2023 Great American Song Contest. Their parody of Dolly Parton's "9 to 5," titled "9 to 6," has amassed over 3.5 million views on Instagram and TikTok.

Tough read for a newbie
Format: Paperback
To start off, I am not the world’s best at writing code. I do have a low level understanding of the concepts and can figure out (with a longer amount of time) how to get some of the code functional. With this in mind, this book (if your a beginner or struggle with Python) is going to be a tough read and hard to practice. Its pseudocode is solid and makes the coding easier but you need to beware of pythons syntax differences between the different versions when you are using this. (This is something I struggle with). I am beyond happy with this book, albeit there are typos and errors inside it but I think it’s solid for practice in this field. Coming from a nontechnical profession, having the concepts explained and taken out from theory into working practice helps understand the practical side of doing something like this. Despite being a tough read, i have the frame of mind that ethical hacking and program development is not for a total newbie and some experience is needed for maximum efficiency. Hope this helps!
