Compiled by Andrew Lang, illustrated by Henry Justice Ford and published under the editorial direction of Lang s wife, Leonora Alleyne, the books were a sensation among British schoolchildren and were sold all around the world. Each book in the series was named for the colour of its featured fairy, and this Olive Fairy notebook reproduces the front cover of that book s first edition. Lang was a Scottish poet, novelist and anthropologist who specialized in collecting folk and fairy tales from around the globe. Published in 1907, his Olive Fairy Book includes stories such as The Golden-Headed Fish and The Prince and the Princess in the Forest gathered from places like Turkey, India, Denmark, Armenia and the Sudan. H.J Ford s Olive Fairy illustration offers a botanical and almost insectile quality that gives her a sense of scientific realism as well as fey possibility. My Chuiweenie loves these.

My aunt bought the original one for one of my other furbabies and she didn’t care much for it. We got a new puppy and this has become her favorite. We have bought a second. She loved the “giggle” sound and goes crazy when she hears it. Only downside is the plush face has a thin material that is easy for them to chew through. Also, with Amazon you may get an alligator instead of a frog lol.

I bought the chicken, the duck, the frog and a couple hedgehogs of these. They're very cute and my puppy loves them, but goes through them very fast. She chews holes in the body pretty quickly and starts removing the stuffing. I tried sewing the holes, but finally gave up. It's a losing battle.

Love the crazy giggle

Entertaining toy for my husky but he's so rough and tough that he torn the cover off and manages to turn the giggle sound off. He really enjoys it still though.
