Various companies produce these and they are usually stunning in design, but heavy and not the easiest to put together. For a long time talented hobbyists would put their own inserts together using foam core, which is light and cheaper than the wood alternates but requires the craft skills of a primary school teacher. Enter Folded Space who not only have developed a new stronger type of foam core, but also design their inserts to be efficient in terms of set up, tear down and gameplay. Most of the trays and storage boxes are designed to be used directly in game. Like the wooden inserts Folded Space inserts do need to be assembled but are easy to punch and quick to assemble with the help of some PVA glue. This insert for Spirit Island will work for either the base game and Branch and Claw expansions or the Jagged Earth expansion on its own. Meaning of you have the whole collection you will need two copies of this insert. Card and resource trays are designed to be used during the game meaning set up and tear down are super quick. Insert designed for game with external box dimensions of 29.5 x 29.5 x 7.8cm. Insert compatible with Spirit Island and the Branch and Claw expansion.
