The Dartdash eliminates the need for both the plastic screwcap and the plastic dasher insert in the bottle's neck. This may require prying out the existing insert, which can be done with a small knife such as one found on a Waiter's Friend corkscrew. Be cautious when doing so!

Using a DashDart Threaded Dasher Top in place of a screwtop on a bitters bottle can lead to increased oxygenation, potentially accelerating the evaporation of alcohol. This may not be a concern when using the bottle within a few months.
