Signs of Carcosa, the fifth expansion for Eldritch Horror from Fantasy Flight Games features more of what you love from the series. This small box expansion adds no new board but more content for the base game and other expansions, as well as new conditions, investigators and of course a new ancient one for the intrepid heroes to face.
Signs of Carcosa adds four new favourite investigators; The Urchin - Wendy Adams, The Magician - Dexter Drake, The gangster - Michael McGlenn and The Dilettante Jenny Barnes. Each investigator comes with their own skills and abilities to bear against the evil across the globe. To aid them in their quest comes the cornucopia of four new artefact cards, including the fabled King in Yellow and the Key to Carcosa. 16 new assets and unique assets including some fine jewellery, arcane assistant and or some tasks for enlisting the masses or even turning the tide. Along with 12 new spells such as binding or perhaps summon Byahkee to use as a ride!
But all is not well in Carcosa, Hastur, the new ancient one, leading the three acts to the disastrous conclusion of the King in Yellow Play with his associated mysteries and special decks. Hastur is not alone, new monster tokens are added, around every corner the players may run into the crazed mob, Firebug or the epic rogue byakhee!
With the expansion come 24 new terrifying mythos cards, like the King in Yellow Rumour where players must stop the vile performance of the King in Yellow or the strange affliction of the Blight. Yet, Hastur and his hordes from Carcosa may not be all the players must face; 28 new condition cards such as being wanted, the promise of power or the blight of Hastur and the King in Yellow.
Strange is the night where black stars rise; these are the signs of Carcosa!
