A feature of Horadam watercolour range is their re-solubility. Paint which has dried onto your palette can be easily re-wetted and painted with again. You will find the same formulation in both their tubes and pans.
Schmincke has been developing and manufacturing its Horadam line of watercolours since 1881, and the company is now owned by the fourth generation of the original family. Today the Horadam line includes 140 brilliant, intense colors, 112 of them with the highest lightfastness ratings of 4 or 5 stars. 95 of the colors are formulated with a single pigment for perfect mixing results. Each color has its own individually optimized formula.
Schmincke has a reputation for using only the highest-quality natural gums, water-soluble resins, and pigments and continually tests their ingredients so only the best of the batch is selected to ensure the highest quality artist watercolour.
