The newest iteration of the iconic Gibson Les Paul Studio is here, now in with a more modern twist to it. A favorite among guitarists Les Paul lovers, the Studio has undergone some refinement, giving way to the Les Paul Modern Studio, that draws inspiration from the Les Paul Modern and integrates cutting-edge features and improvements, upping its performance.

An Ultra-Modern weight-relieved mahogany body, engineered by Gibson, is the star of the show here. The body offers a slightly lighter body than its notoriously heavy predecessors, all without sacrificing that iconic Les Paul sound. It's topped by a gorgeous a maple cap, boasting a single-ply black binding that follows the contours of this beloved body shape.

The neck of the Les Paul Modern Studio is constructed from mahogany, and features Gibson's very popular SlimTaper profile, coupled with a Modern Contoured heel, making upper fret access a no-brainer. The neck is also topped with a dark, stunning ebony fretboard which is divided by 22 frets, and decorated with Gibsons acrylic trapezoid inlays. The Graph Tech nut measure at a width of 1.695 inches and the total scale length of this instrument is a standard 24.75 inches.

The Les Paul Modern Studio comes loaded with a powerful pair of pickups, featuring Gibson's 490R in the neck and a 498T pickup in its bridge. These pickups — Gibson's take on a classic PAF — deliver a dynamic range of tones, from warm and mellow to aggressive and biting, and are tamed or unleashed by a classic Les Paul control panel, with 2 push/pull volume knobs for coil tapping and 2 push/pull tone knobs for phase and pure bypass options.

Available in this beautiful Wine Red Satin finish, as well as a Smokehouse Satin and a Worn White, all three of these beautiful Les Paul Modern Studio guitars features striking black nickel-plated hardware, including an Aluminum Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge, Aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece, and Grover Rotomatic tuners with Keystone buttons. This guitar comes with an included gigbag.

Carefully Researched Gives Insight To 19Th Century Occurances of: American, Canada, and Mexico!
Format: Hardcover
This book is a treasure as it covers not only the American Civil War but what intricate details are behind it and more, in addition covers the same eras for the Dominion of Canada, and French take over of Mexico along with the factors leading to "Cinco De Mayo," and more. As an avid reader of American History also as a amature historian this book is carefully detailed and gives insight to the racial and political beliefs at the life and times of the 19Th. Century. It deserves a place on your bookshelf and/or library. In these contemporary times, I am still more than pleased the the border frontiers between the Republic of Canada and United States of America remain the: "Longest Undefended Borders" in the entire globe.

Another Thought Provoking Book
Format: Kindle
Having read Professor Taylor's American Republics I greatly anticipated this volume in his series. The examination of both the Canadian and Mexican stories in this book along with the American Civil War helps provide context to the traditional narrative. I find his approach useful as it shows how the interactions between the US and its neighboring nations evolved. I'm hoping he continues the series

A Minority View of our History
Format: Kindle
If you want to learn more about American history from the perspective of minorities, this is a crowning achievement. It is long so I focused on reading the chapters on the US and it gave me an understanding of just how brutal the challenges were but how significant the slow process of building our multicultural society was as well.

Eye opening!
Format: Hardcover
I've read tons of books and biographies connected to American history, perhaps because I'm the son of immigrants, but have never read a survey like this one. By describing in luscious and sometimes horrific detail the wars being fought in Mexico and the main Canadian provinces alongside our Civil War, we get patterns, intersections, and insights that simply would not be available reading about any one struggle. I love this book which is teeming with wonderful portraits and dramatic scenes.

A worthy and worthwhile fourth volume in the series
Format: Kindle
Once again, Taylor frames a critical period of the past in terms of the continent of North America and ties the US Civil War to the one occurring concurrently in Mexico and Canada's move toward Dominion. All thoughtfully told and expertly researched.
