Black fruits - Herbal - Tannins
In 2001, Gérard Gribelin (Château de Fieuzal) and Philippe Gervoson (Château Larrivet Haut-Brionfell) in love with Domaine de la Zouina, in Meknes, northern Morocco. Struck by the richness of the terroir, the particularity of the soil and the climate, they were certain they could produce unique results. Gerard's son Christopher now runs the winery, working organically and biodynamically.
The traditional black fruit characters of Cabernet Sauvignon are expressed well and the Moroccan influence gives it warmer aromas (garrigue, ripe red pepper). The palate is very powerful, even heady. The first impression is tannic, but ends with very melted notes where the fruit reappears.
