Acai, superfood uit Brazilië
Acai poeder is afkomstig van acai bessen die in grote trossen groeien aan de pinapalm (Euterpe oleracea) die voorkomt aan de oevers van het Amazonegebied in Brazilië.
De acai bes wordt gezien als één van de meest gezonde vruchten ter wereld en is dus echt de term 'superfood' waardig.
Açaibessen zijn rijk aan voedingsstoffen die dankzij een speciaal vriesdroogproces behouden worden. Zo komt 20 kg bessen overeen met 1 kg acai poeder.
Rijk aan antioxidanten
Wanneer de bessen rijp zijn, worden ze geplukt, verpulverd en gevriesdroogd tot acai poeder. Acai bessen zitten hierdoor boordevol vitamine A, kalium, calcium en ijzer.
Verder is acai rijk aan antioxidanten, meer bepaald anthocyanen, die de cellen beschermen tegen vrije radicalen. Een wetenschappelijke analyse van het açaipoeder bevestigt de hoge ORAC-waarde, wat een maatstaf is voor de hoeveelheid antioxidanten.

sturdy, easy and quick to put together

Packaged with care. No damage. Easy and quick to put together. I bought 2 for the deck. Goes well with any style outdoor furniture. Sturdy, heavy, wide enough that it shouldn't get blown over by the wind. The only problem was that several of the screws on each table couldn't be installed because the holes for attaching the base to the table top didn't line up properly and would not go in. The tops on each table still held together and as long as you don't lift from the top you can't tell. Other than that, they're super awesome end tables.

Easy to use

perfect little porch table. I think it is best to just go between two chairs. I have a small fire pit on mine. Very sturdy and heavy duty but not too heavy. Pretty low price compared to others that I looked at.
