San Pedro or Trichocereus Bridgesii seeds are very slow growing, taking several years before they are ready to harvest. It seems to be somewhere in the middle with medium sized spines and generally good cactus growth.
The potency of this plant seems to be stronger than the rest of the species because of the difference in alkaloids which can make this species give a deeper experience than the others. Distribution of this species is La Paz, Bolivia.
Use
For a full trip you would take about 350 to 500 mg of mescaline, a portion about 25 cm long and 8 cm wide to get this dose.
The full peak of the trip begins about 2-4 hours after consuming the cactus and gradually decreases over the next 8-12 hours. Mescaline is a strong psychedelic and has an effect similar to LSD, altering the perception of self-existence and reality, increasing suggestibility and intensifying emotions.
The first hour of the journey most people experience some kind of physical distress, nausea, discomfort, feeling of fullness in the stomach, sweating with chills, these symptoms can last for 1-2 hours, once this initial stage is over you enter a nirvana a feeling of calm and acceptance.
How to grow
San Pedro or Trichocereus Bridgesii seeds are viable and therefore very suitable for growing. The seeds grow very slowly. It takes several years before they can be harvested.
Use a propagator. Fill plastic containers (5 cm) with sterilized soil, place the seeds in the soil and press lightly. Place the containers in a layer of boiled water and wait until the soil surface is moist. Take the pots out and cover them with plastic wrap.
The optimum temperature in this stage is between 18°C and 23°C. After a few days to weeks, green baby cactus will appear.
After about four weeks you can start curing. Poke 2 holes in the foil and then every day. You can remove the plastic foil when the inside atmosphere is the same as outside.
Water with boiled water or rainwater, not too dry, but not too much water. After a year you can repot them, be careful with the taproot. If the cactus turns yellow, it means it needs more light; if the cactus tends to turn red, it needs less water.
