Quincy, M.E., the trailblazing series that created the medical investigation genre, featured  television icon Jack Klugman as the crusading and headstrong medical examiner Dr. Quincy in the distinguished role that earned him 4 Emmy® nominations.  The strong-willed Quincy investigated suspicious deaths for the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office and was a favorite of TV fans for his medical mystery-solving prowess. 

Aided by his loyal lab assistant Sam Fujiyama (Robert Ito), Quincy's not afraid to stand up for his convictions, and he'll battle anyone who stands in his way. Quincy was not averse to leaving behind his microscope and venturing outside to conduct investigations of his own, much to the consternation of his boss, Dr Robert J. Asten (John S. Ragin) and police chief Frank Monahan (Garry Walberg).

In private Quincy frequented a bar known as Danny’s Place (the owner was played by Val Bisoglio), and dated a girl by the name of Lee Potter but the romance with Lee didn’t last and eventually, Quincy met and married psychiatrist, Emily Hanover (Anita Gillette).
