Called the Classic expression, it was matured in bourbon and virgin oak casks as well as red wine-seasoned STR (shaved, toasted and re-charred) casks. There's a wonderful balance of hallmark honey notes alongside malt sweetness and rich chocolate.
Nose: Ripe peach, dried fruit and well-baked flapjack, with waxy honey and floral oak.
Palate: Vanilla and honey sweetness leads into lemon curd and sweet porridge, with a dusting of bitter cocoa bringing balance.
Finish: Peppery oak lingers alongside barrel char and a balance of more honey and bitter dark chocolate.
