From the University of Saskatchewan’s breeding program, Aurora is valued for its bright flavour, early ripening, and lovely fruit colour. It works well in gardens when paired with a compatible haskap pollinator, giving you berries you’ll enjoy fresh, frozen, or in preserves.

Pollination Partners:
Aurora needs a compatible partner to set fruit well. Honey Bee is its best match, blooming in near-perfect sync for excellent cross-pollination. Blue Bell and Berry Blue are solid secondary options. Boreal Beast works at a reduced level. Most other popular haskaps — including Tundra, Borealis, Boreal Beauty, and the Indigo Series — bloom too far out of sync to be reliable partners for Aurora.
