It’s the 19th century, and you are a group of exceptional children from across the globe chosen for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join a scientific expedition led by a renowned biology professor. The professor takes you on a voyage to the semi-legendary Toriki Island, located in the Pacific Ocean. This small, uninhabited island is rumored to harbor unique plants and animals not found anywhere else in the world. No scientist has ever set foot on the island, and all knowledge of its flora and fauna is based on unreliable sailor accounts.

After weeks at sea, you're finally nearing your destination when a violent storm strikes. Your ship crashes on submerged rocks, and with the last of your strength, you swim to shore. This is where your adventure begins!

In Toriki - The Castaway Island, players must cooperate to survive by exploring different locations, gathering resources, and crafting new items. While the ultimate goal is to find a way off the island, discovering new places, species, and crafting recipes is equally important. Players work together and are scored as a group at the end of the game.
