Fitment Notes

  • Always match OEM reference number(s) and vehicle details before ordering. Confirm exact fitment using VIN, engine code, or chassis number if multiple variants exist.
  • The 22R / 22RE engine was used in numerous Toyota platforms beyond those listed above (including Cressida, Dyna, and earlier Hilux 4Y/2Y variants in some markets) — if your vehicle has a 22R or 22RE engine and the OE number on the removed gasket matches one listed above, this gasket will fit.
  • Verify whether your engine is the carburettor 22R or fuel-injected 22RE — both share this gasket but the gasket revision (per OE number) may differ between early and late production.

Important: Engine components such as bearings, pistons, rings, valves, gaskets, and related parts must be installed only by a qualified, VAT-registered workshop using proper measuring and torque equipment. Ensure crankshaft journals are measured and polished, oil clearances verified, and assembly lube applied. Failures due to oil starvation, contamination, incorrect sizing, or improper torque are not manufacturing defects and are not covered under warranty. Always replace engine oil, filters, and gaskets during installation.

Engine Parts Return Policy Warning

Returns Policy Notice: Engine internal components (including bearings, pistons, rings, gaskets, valves, etc.) are non-returnable once the sealed packaging has been opened. Returns are only accepted if the incorrect part was supplied and the item remains sealed, unused, and in original condition. Opened, fitted, dirty, or marked parts cannot be resold and are not eligible for refund or exchange. Please verify engine code, bore/size, and bearing grade before opening any packaging.

Installation / Use / Maintenance Tips

  • Cylinder head gasket replacement must be carried out by a qualified workshop with the correct service manual, torque wrench, and angle gauge.
  • Always have the cylinder head and block deck checked for flatness and skimmed if outside spec — fitting a new gasket to a warped surface will guarantee a re-leak.
  • Clean both mating surfaces thoroughly with a non-abrasive method to avoid removing metal or leaving abrasive grit in the bores.
  • Use new head bolts where the manufacturer specifies torque-to-yield bolts; do not reuse stretched bolts.
  • Tighten head bolts to the manufacturer's torque specification in the correct sequence and angle, refill with the correct coolant, and bleed the cooling system fully before starting.

Common Questions

Toddler approved!
Format: Board book
My 2 year old loves this book! The pictures are beautiful, he's learned the names of all of the bugs, and it's a nice small size that's easy to read using one hand with my toddler in my lap before bedtime. I bought this when he was around 18 months old and it is still a hit.

Great book!
Format: Board book
I really like this book it includes: ladybug, bumblebee, praying mantis, firefly and (monarch) butterfly. So a good selection of bugs a small child is likely to experience in their yard or park in North America. For the photo board book aged children I really prefer that they discuss vocabulary that the child will be able to use to describe the world around them so I appreciate that most kids will see most of these bugs fairly easily and frequently. I did question the praying mantis since I see them much less frequently than the other bugs in the book but my husband said it is an exciting bug when kids do see it so he supports the choice--I think a fly or mosquito might have been a somewhat more useful choice as far as vocabulary our son could use most often. I liked that they did say the butterfly was a monarch but typically used butterfly so if a child lives where other butterflies are more common they learned the more general term. I think fireflies are less common in some regions but they are so magical as a small child that I think it is a good choice.
