Description: I had a customer down in Florida who asked me to conjure up a sailfish that was a little different from the norm. He wanted something a little more modern and stylish for his charter business. So I made this piece for him. It's carved from heavy plate steel, it measures 48 inches in length and 19 inches in height. It has a raw steel looking finish that I textured using a grinder followed with several sanding pads. A thin clear coat protects it from rusting while still letting the natural finish of the steel shine through.

Mounting: This piece can be hung on a wall using long drywall screws positioned at the top of the rib cage area or you can mount it with floral chains from the front and back to hang from the ceiling. Please advise me if you want that option so I can make a couple of holes for you.

I have made a couple of other fish for people. Some of them creepy deep sea monsters in black tones and others simple trout in rustic brown.
