It is helpful for identifying different strains of bacteria, especially those that are difficult to grow. It contains nutrients and other substances that help the bacteria survive. It also comes in a version with a special ingredient that is useful for studying bacteria from the respiratory system, blood, and other body fluids. Trypto Soy Agar is available in three sizes - 500g, 2kg, and 10kg. It is an essential tool for scientists studying bacteria.
PREPARATION: Mix 40 grams of the medium in one liter of purified water until evenly dispersed. Heat with repeated stirring and boil for one minute to dissolve completely. Distribute and autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes. To prepare with blood, cool medium to 45-50°C and aseptically add 5-10% defibrinated sheep blood.
