Phlox variegates The exceptional native plant from the East Coast known as "Blue Moon" has clusters of dark-blue, fragrant flowers with unusually full flower petals. Early spring bloomer "Blue Moon" adds a vibrant pop of blue to the forest garden. It spreads easily through rhizomes and seed and is thus occasionally referred to as Wild Blue Phlox or Woodland Phlox. One of our favorite perennials for the woodland garden or gently shaded border is phlox 'Blue Moon'. Additionally, it creates a lovely, fragrant cut flower.
