This intriguing Egyptian Revival charm was originally an antique stick pin (circa 1890-1910). The charm features entwined snakes wrapped around a finely carved carnelian. The front of the carnelian depicts a scarab, while there is a warrior carved on the reverse.

The charm is 14k gold (unmarked, but acid tested) and measures 0.8 inches from top to bottom by 0.4 inches wide, and it is in excellent condition.
