Fidata built their reputation on the HFLC Ethernet cable — individually tested, gold-plated Telegartner connectors, made in Japan to tolerances that no other manufacturer matches. The HFU2 brings the same commitment to the USB audio cable.
The Construction
Gold-plated USB connectors at both ends, each housed in a machined aluminum enclosure. The aluminum adds mass to the connector, damping the micro-vibrations at the connection interface that can affect USB audio performance. Independent concentric-cross-section cable geometry — 7mm overall diameter — with 24AWG oxygen-free copper conductors. USB 2.0 High Speed specification.
The Testing
Every cable is 100% individually measured at Fidata's certified Japanese facility and the test results are included with the cable. The same practice as the HFLC Ethernet cable — not a batch test, not a spot check, but a measurement of your specific cable. No other USB cable manufacturer we're aware of does this.
