The ATH-IEX1 In-Ear Hybrid Multi-Driver Headphones from Audio-Technica feature solid titanium housings, dual phase drivers of different diameters (9.8 and 8.8mm), plus two balanced armature drivers designed to deliver smooth, natural sound reproduction across the entire frequency range with the capacity for reproducing Hi-Res Audio. The headphones can be used with MP3 players, smartphones, tablets, CD players, and other portable devices.
The ATH-IEX1 headphones are equipped with A2DC (Audio Designed Detachable Coaxial) jacks to accommodate the two included 3.9' detachable cables. One cable terminates to a 3.5mm, 3-pin TRS stereo mini-jack connector and has a star-quad construction. The signal and ground wires are stranded separately to suppress crosstalk and isolate the audio signal from noise. The second cable has a 4.4mm, 5-pole balanced plug for use with high-resolution digital audio players and balanced-compatible headphone amplifiers. Both cables have a titanium plug sleeve to reduce vibration and are designed to loop securely around your ears.
Furthermore, the secure, ergonomic, and over-ear loop design offers a custom fit for long-wearing comfort. The two-position eartip post on each housing allows for customized positioning of the eartip for a more precise fit in your ears. Additionally, the headphones come with four sizes of interchangeable silicone eartips (XS, S, M, and L), three sizes of Comply foam eartips (S, M, and L), a cleaning cloth, and a hard carrying case.
