Its scale like new growth is bright chartreuse and droop slightly at the end, and turns to yellow or orange bronze in winter. The small cones are green brown if female or orange brown if male. Verdonii Hinoki Cypress is a dwarf non-flowering evergreen conifer shrub with a loose, naturally irregular, pyramidal habit.  Its scale-like new growth is bright chartreuse and droop slightly at the end, and turns to yellow or orange-bronze in winter. The small cones are green-brown if female or orange-brown if male.  Prefers full sun and moist well-drained soil.  Verdonii has burn-resistant foliage.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance.  Water regularly but needs well-drained soil.  Juniper blight, root rot, and certain insect pests can be issues if soil to wet. Shelter from hard winds.
