Bring a touch of ancient majesty to your setting! This stunning replica captures a surviving Ancient Egyptian monument to one of the greatest pharaohs of all time, even detailing the authentic damage to the actual statue for a real-world feeling.
Regarded as "one of the greatest warriors, military commanders, and military strategists of all time," Thutmose III is also commonly known as Thutmose the Great or the "Napoleon of Egypt." Though he officially ruled from 28 April 1479 BC to 11 March 1425 BC, Thutmose was only two years old at his coronation, and thus the first twenty-two years of his reign were overseen by his equally iconic co-ruler and aunt, a female pharaoh known as Hatshepsut until her death c. 22 May 1459 BC.
Thutmose was the founder of the Egyptian navy, a feat made all the more impressive by the fact that this was not only Egypt's first navy, but also the very first navy in the ancient world. Not to stop there, Thutmose oversaw seventeen or more successful military campaigns, bringing Egypt to its zenith of wealth and power and helping to transform it into the titan of history that it remains to this day. Not only a war-time ruler, however, Thutmose is also known for his triumphant contributions to art and culture, building countless temples and monuments, such as the famed Temple of Amun at Karnak, one of the most impressive temple complexes still standing in all of Egypt.
At the end of his life, the pharaoh even managed to masterfully, and peacefully, forestall a mounting civil war due to take place after his death as rival heirs fought for the right to replace him, by raising his chosen surviving successor, Amenhotep II, to co-ruler during his own lifetime, and thus ensuring an easy succession. So it was that the great pharaoh spent the last years of his reign with a shared throne, just as he had done at the beginning of his reign. With his co-rulers, Thutmose reigned over Egypt at the height of its powers, the beginning of his reign ushering in a period of political stability and economic prosperity that would last for generations, and allowed Egypt to flourish, standing as a pillar of civilization to all the world around and a giant of history to this very day. Many statues and monuments to his glory still exist, thousands of years later, traces of a figure in world history not soon to be forgot.
