DESCRIPTION

This Motorcycle Helmet Lock is designed to answer motorbike riders’ demands for a small, portable and convenient helmet, jacket & luggage lock which requires no fitting.

Suitable for Arai, Airoh, BMW, Shoei, Schuberth, Desert Fox and all major brands of motorcycle helmets.

Small and compact enough to fit in your pocket, belt loop or tank-bag, it has been designed to lock your helmet and jacket to any make of bike using the handlebars or the frame as a secure anchor point.

Features of the Desert Fox Helmet lock:

  • Bike & Helmet  friendly : Most helmet locks have sharp metallic edges that can scratch and damage your helmet or your bike . Desert Fox have taken the precaution of coating the D-ring (the Carabiner) with a protective rubberized sleeve.
  • Likewise the self-coiling retractable 5mm cable is coated with a tough, flexible weather resistant outer casing.
  • Designed for South African conditions : The combination tumblers are steel and cannot be forced. Other helmet locks have plastic tumblers.
  • An industry leading 5 mm thick coiled cable- other helmet locks have a 2 mm cable.
  • Easy to set your own combination lock code -full instructions included on setting your own code.
  • Suitable for locking jackets and 2 helmets together.
  • Can be used to secure other items such as suit cases, Braais , laptop bags etc.

Whats in the box

  • Carabiner lock (5 cm x 9 cm)  with rubberized protection.
  • 5 mm coiled steel cable with thick protective coating.
  • T Bar for Ratchet style helm et chin straps. (Not Suitable for Shoei Neotec II however we can supply a solution for this model)

I bought these for an alcove. The brackets came in great condition. I didnt notice any scratched. Mounting… the brackets are not centered on the wall, but are centered on the studs. I cant do anything about the stud placement. I bought a 2x8x10 board and cut it into 40 in sections. After placing the brackets on the wall the boards fit beautifully in place. (I used the long stud screws that came with the brackets) I havent screwed the boards to the wall (those screws also included) and may not. I like being able to pull a board out and run cables behind, if needed. I think the boards are sturdy enough that I wont have an issue with tipping, since the right most stud is at the corner of the wall.

These come with different types of anchors and one even says it can be used on brick. I believe it.
