Dave's career as a songwriter and keyboard player now spans over 50 years, during which time he has played and composed in various bands such as Caravan, Camel, Matching Mole, and Hatfield and the North. Since his departure from Caravan in 2002 and then relocating to Japan, he has made a series of excellent solo albums culminating in this his latest, where he explores a whole range of musical genres including Rock, Jazz, Blues, Classical, Choral, Folk and Pop. This is particularly noticeable in his epic 18 minute long track 'Home Again' which he feels surpasses even his best known compositions, 'For Richard' and 'Nine Feet Underground'. Another track 'If I Run' goes back as far as 1971 when he was working with Robert Wyatt in Matching Mole. You'll also find his poignant tribute to Kevin Ayers in the final track 'Rings Around The Moon. 'There are many great musicians playing alongside Dave on this album thereby adding a rich variety of colours, sounds and dynamics.
