LP version. Immortal Light is the debut solo album by guitarist-singer-songwriter Buck Curran. Since 2005, Buck has recorded and performed as one half of the alt-folk duo Arborea. To date, Arborea has released five albums, including 2013's ESP-Disk' release Fortress of the Sun. Buck's music is influenced by landscapes of nature and has developed through a decade of playing with Arborea, and the experience of playing blues and folk throughout the 1990s. He also draws inspiration from the deep well of folk and rock of the 1960s (Robbie Basho, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Tim Buckley), American blues and folk music of the 1930s, British folk and psychedelic folk/rock of the '60s and early '70s (Peter Green, Sandy Denny, Pentangle, Led Zeppelin, Martin Simpson), Indian classical music (Pandit Nikhil Banerjee) and jazz of the '50s and '60s (Ornette Coleman, John Coltrane). Bob Boilen, the host of NPR's All Songs Considered, listed Arborea among his favorite concerts and recommended live acts in 2012. Arborea's fourth album, Red Planet, was released in 2011 and received critical praise making: David Fricke's Rolling Stone "Best Under-the-Radar Albums of 2011", Guitar Player Magazine Editors "Top Pick", Uncut "Top 100 Albums of 2011". Fortress of the Sun made "Favorite Folk Albums of 2013" and "Favorite Singer/Songwriter Albums of 2013", Acoustic Guitar's "Best Acoustic Albums of 2013", Best of Echoes 2013 Listener Poll, etc. Paste also listed Arborea in their profile of top musical acts in Maine for their "50 States Project". Personnel: vocals, guitars, harmonium, flute, banjo - Buck Curran; Backup vocals on "New Moontide" and "Bad Moon Rising". Featured lead vocals and harmonium on "Immortal Light."

Perfect socks! They wash nicely, not too thick, and are super comfortable! They run true to size and are a great quality!

Post-COVID Sock Hunt: Finally a Win
Size: Medium, Color: (001) Black / Black / White
Ever since COVID, I haven’t been able to find a pair of socks that hold up for more than a few months. Brands like UA, Adidas, and others seem to have cut corners—likely in response to inflation—by downgrading materials and labor rather than raising prices. The result? Socks that wear thin, rip easily, or lose shape fast.
These, however, have been a pleasant surprise. I’ve been wearing them for a few weeks and so far, they’re holding strong. You can tell some cost-saving measures were still made—certain areas feel slightly thinner—but overall, the construction is solid.
A key win: they stay on. These are ankle socks (not “no-shows”), and they hug the ankle securely. That’s a huge plus in a world where most post-COVID no-shows slide off halfway through the day.
We may never get back to the pre-COVID quality standards without paying a premium, but for now, these are a reliable choice.
Ratings:
• No slipping: 10/10
• Price: 7/10
• Durability (so far): No pilling or loose threads — promising start.

Great Quality and Stylish
Size: Large, Color: (001) Black / Black / White
Exactly what I was looking for. I don’t like socks that are no-show that your ankles rub on the shoe. These are taller than that but shorter than socks that go up and over the ankle. They’re comfortable, good quality, and pretty thick. They’re form fitting m, but not compression. I dint like compression socks, and these are tight, but not too tight.
