Impact Soft n' Natural Kit #3

The Impact Soft n' Natural Kit #3 by B&H is a 2-light kit created to be a lighting solution for virtually any kind of imaging-making from ecommerce to portraiture, fashion, product or large groups. The kit contains one 24" Octa softbox with a 4-socket fixture and an 8' air-cushioned light stand and a 20 x 27.5" rectangular softbox with a 4-socket fixture and a 6' light stand. Eight 26W spiral fluorescent lamps with a daylight color balance of 5,000K are included for the fixtures.

The Impact Octa fixture in this kit is sturdily constructed and has a 5/8" stand mount, ceramic Edison sockets and multi-voltage capability. The fixture also has rocker-switch lamp control and comes with an Octa softbox with removable inner baffle and front diffuser. The light modifier displays a distinct wrap-around light quality and reflects natural catchlights in your subject's eyes. It's supported by an 8' air-cushioned stand that lets your light down slowly when making height adjustments to avoid damage.

Built similarly to the Octa fixture, the included 4-lamp fixture with rectangular 20 x 27.5" softbox also features a removable inner baffle and front diffuser and is ideal for head and shoulders or product photography, especially with reflective objects.

• Impact 4 Socket Fluorescent Fixture

  The 4 Socket Fluorescent Fixture from Impact is a lightweight fixture in a polycarbonate housing that accepts Edison-base compact fluorescent lamps up to 50W, for a four-socket total of 200W. The fixture's bracket tilts and locks into position and features a standard 5/8" receiver that mounts on any 5/8" stud or accessory, and also accepts standard photo umbrellas.

• Impact 50 x 70 cm Softbox for Fluorescent Fixtures

  The 50 x 70 cm Softbox for Fluorescent Fixtures by Impact is a light modifier that softens the output from Impact FF-S1 and FF-S4 single- and four-socket fluorescent fixtures, as well as Impact's SF-ABRL160 Slave Flash. Installation is easy - no speed ring is needed; each of these heads has four receptacles located around the face of the fixture. The softbox can be used with up to four 50W fluorescent lamps for a total of 200W.

  The Eiko SP27/50K Spiral Fluorescent lamp (26/120V) is an Edison base (E26) screw-in bulb, for the SP Systems Cool Light, Interfit, Impact, Bowens Tri-Lite, or any other floodlight fixture that can accept a large bulb. The lamp has a color temperature of 5000° and an average life of 10,000 hours. This lamp is not for use with dimmers, electronic timers, photocells, totally enclosed fixtures, motion/occupancy sensors, or where directly exposed to water.

• Impact FF-OF4 Octa 4-Socket Fluorescent Fixture

  The FF-0F4 Octa 4-Socket Fluorescent Fixture from Impact is a four Edison socket base that accepts CFL fluorescents up to 85W. Individual socket rating is 105 watts. The back panel has dual rocker switches, each of which control on/off function for two lights allowing the creation of a light ratio. The FF-0F4 has a multi-voltage power supply for worldwide use (with addition of optional adapter plug) and has a standard 5/8" receiver for light stands and accessories. The FF-0F4 is meant for use with the Impact FF-OSB60 24" Octa Softbox which is purchased separately, or with a standard photo umbrella that fits through the fixture's umbrella receptacle.

  The 24" FF-OSB60 Octa Softbox from Impact is an 8-sided light modifier supported by 8 flexrods which are attached to the separately purchased FF-OF4 4-socket fixture.

  The Octa features a highly reflective pebbled interior and a removable front face that attaches with simple touch-fasteners. In use, it renders the signature wrap-around look that it's well known for, as well as natural circular catch-lights in your subjects eyes. This 24" Octa is made to be used with the FF-OF4 fixture and fluorescent lamps only.

• Impact Air-Cushioned Light Stand (Black, 8')

  This aluminum Impact Air-Cushioned Light Stand rises to a height of 8' and folds down to 29.6". The stand has sure-twist section locks and 4 sections and will support up to 8 lb.

  If you forget to tighten any section with your light mounted, the light slowly descends, thanks to the air-cushioned action. This useful feature saves equipment and fingers from harm during busy photo sessions.
