The MRCOOL DIY 5th Gen EZPRO 18,000 BTU Mini Split Heat Pump (230V) is a high-performance ductless heating and cooling system designed for fast, straightforward DIY installation. This single-zone DIY mini split system uses next-generation R-454B refrigerant, offering improved energy efficiency and a lower environmental impact compared to older refrigerants. Inverter-driven technology allows the system to automatically adjust output based on demand, delivering consistent temperatures, reduced energy consumption, and whisper-quiet operation.
Unlike traditional mini split systems that require vacuum pumps, refrigerant charging, or specialized HVAC tools, the EZPRO is engineered for true DIY installation. The outdoor condenser, indoor air handler, and included 16 ft pre-charged Quick Connect® line set are factory-sealed and ready to install, eliminating the need for brazing or professional service. This system is built on the same proven DIY connection platform as MRCOOL’s higher-end E-Star systems, offering the same reliability with simplified configuration.
The EZPRO 18K BTU mini split is ideal for spaces up to approximately 750 square feet, including garages, workshops, home offices, basements, bonus rooms, additions, and detached buildings.
