Vitamin D ist das einzige Vitamin, das über UV-Licht im Körper gebildet werden kann. Einzig Sonneneinstrahlung wandelt die im Körper vorhandene Vorstufe zu verwertbarem Vitamin D um. Je nach Jahreszeit gibt es mehr oder weniger günstige Bedingunegen für diese Synthese: In Mitteleuropa reicht im Winter der Einstrahlwinkel der Sonne nicht aus, um Vitamin D bilden zu können.

Vitamin K2 – bei uns natürlich in der besonders hochwertigen Form MK7 all-trans – ist ein wichtiger Co-Faktor für die Aufnahme von Vitamin D.
